2F Information Center Seat Borrowing Instructions

    1. Eligible Users: Faculty, staff and students of Cheng Shiu University

    2. Borrowing Procedures:

    (1) With an iPass Student Card

    1. Check the seats available in the Center on Floor 2 and then borrow a seat with a self-service system.

    2. Press a seat controller (A ~ E) and select “Select the Seat”.

    3. Select a “seat number” and “duration”. Swipe the Student Card; the seat selected is then ready for use.

    4. Use the controller to “Free the Seat” after use.

    (2) Faculty/Staff or Student without an iPass Student Card

    1. Borrow the access card at the front desk on Floor 1.

    2. Check the seats available in the Center on Floor 2 and then borrow a seat with a self-service system.

    3. Press a seat controller (A ~ E) and select “Select the Seat”.

    4. Select a “seat number” and “duration”. Swipe the Student Card and then the seat selected is ready for use.

    5. Use the controller to “Free the Seat” after use.   

     

    Borrowing Individual Spaces (Instructions for Borrowing a Study Room, Group Discussion Room, etc.)

     

    1. Eligible Users: Faculty, staff and students of Cheng Shiu University

    2. Introduction to spaces: Study Rooms (for students) on Floors 3 and 4, as well as Study Rooms (for faculty),   

    Group Discussion Rooms, and Small Group Audiovisual Rooms on Floor 4 [Please borrow the Relaxation Room on Floor 2 with the Student Card at the front desk on Floor 1 in person]

    3. Borrowing Procedures:

    (1) With an iPass Student Card

    1. Connect to the “Space Borrowing System(Roomis)” with the self-service function to check the available date and time.

    2. Make an online reservation one day in advance [e.g., reservation for March 2nd and March 3rd can be made on March 2nd].

    3. A minimum of 5 people is required for reserving a group discussion room or small group audiovisual room.

    4. One person can reserve a space for up to 4 hours per day; 4 hours can be divided into a maximum of 2 periods. Only 1 space may be reserved for a period.

        5. Swipe the iPass Student Card to use the reserved room.

     

    (2) Faculty/Staff or Student without an iPass Student Card

    1. Connect to the “Space Borrowing System(Roomis)” with the self-service function to check the available date and time.

    2. Make online reservation one day in advance. [e.g., reservation for March 2nd and March 3rd can be made on March 2nd.]

    3. A minimum of 5 people is required for reserving a group discussion room or small group audiovisual room.

        5. Borrow the access card at the front desk on Floor 1 to use the reserved room.

     

    ※Notes:

    (1) Clean up the table and return the table and chairs neatly back in place after use.

    (2) Keep quiet and discuss at a low volume in a study room or group discussion room.

    (3) A reservation must be cancelled online if you are unable to show up.

    (4) Please refer to the attachment for instructions.
